Love & Information - 2024

Someone sneezes. Someone can’t get a signal. Someone shares a secret. Someone sees Santa come down the chimney. Someone slices a frozen brain into segments. Someone’s not ready to talk. Someone is her brother’s mother. Someone hates irrational numbers. Someone told the police. Someone got fired via email. Someone got a terrible haircut. Someone watched Godzilla. Someone’s never felt like this before.

Caryl Churchill’s Love and Information paints a kaleidoscopic tapestry of human life at break-neck speed. More than a hundred characters try to make sense of what they know, in a world with inhibited human connection and vast information overconsumption.

This staggering revival of Churchill’s 2012 contemporary classic will be brought to life by an incredible ensemble of performers and directed by Red Brick Theatre’s Oliver Hurst as part of TAPP Fest 2024.

BRICK BY BRICK - NOV 2023

Performance Night #2, was created in collaboration with the University of Salford and presented at the New Adelphi Studio Theatre, Salford on 2nd and 3rd Novemeber 2023.

Brick by Brick gave the opportunity to 7 students and recent graduates to work with a professional theatre company, for many of them this was their first time doing so. From dramatic monologues to stand-up comedy, Brick by Brick offered something for everybody.

The project was kindly supported by the Salford Advantage Fund in association with the New Adelphi Theatre.

  • It was a brilliant experience working on Brick by Brick. It was a really useful learning experience to audition, then go on to perform in front of a live, paying audience.

BRICK BY BRICK - JULY 2022

Performance Night #1, was presented in the arches of 53Two, Manchester on 25th and 26th July 2022, to sold out audiences.

The evening showcased the ineffable talent of eight recent graduates of Manchester and Salford based drama schools and universities. Featuring new-writing and classic texts, Brick by Brick provided the opportunity for our ensemble to show an audience what they’ve got!

The performance was an excellent way to kick-off the new Brick by Brick scheme and we were incredibly proud to be supported by 53Two’s 53New scheme.
